President Joe Biden attended and spoke at the memorial of former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor this week at the National Cathedral, calling her “gracious and wise, civil and principled.”
The president stated, “One need not agree with all of her decisions to recognize that her principles were deeply held and of the highest order.”
President Biden added, “Sandra Day O’Connor, a daughter of the American West, was a pioneer in her own right, breaking down barriers in the legal and political worlds and the nation’s consciousness.”
